Representatives of Cuba and the United States have held in Washington the fourth bilateral meeting on human trafficking, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Caribbean island reported today.
During the meeting, conducted on January 12th and 13th, the Cuban delegation presented the measures applied in this nation to prevent and face up that scourge, as well as the support and assistance this country has given to those victims.
According to a note of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting is part of the ‘zero tolerance’ policy implemented to any modality of human trafficking.
Those measures are also applied to other crimes related to sexual and labor exploitation, among others, which approves the exemplary performance of our country in this issue, the text states, which stressed the professional and respectful atmosphere of the talk.
